The grain (e.g. maize grits) is cooked according to individual recipes to produce the various flakes. After this, the cooked grains are rolled and then roasted.

KENTAUR makes good things even better. The roasted flakes can be coated in glucose (sugar syrup), honey, raw cane sugar or fine granulated sugar.

With the aid of a thermal process we turn cereals into so-called "nuts". During this process the raw material is puffed in split seconds.

KENTAUR AG refines practically all types of cereal such as oats, barley, wheat, corn, rye, etc. In doing so we utilise a range of process technologies such as shelling, flaking, puffing, boiling, roasting and coating. Since 1846 healthy foods have been produced in Lützelflüh in Emmental on the basis of cereals. We process around 10,000 tons of maize, wheat, spelt and rice every year to produce cereal flakes, cereal pops and puffed cereal products.
